Did you know that you can help out Neotacular in many ways? We have a suggestion forum for you to post ways for us to make the site better, a submission form to submit game guides, graphics or anything, and "vote for us" links to topsites in the right column! We appreciate your support! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Splat/Celeb Layout TipsHere are a few tips to give you that dazzle onto your splat/celeb layouts.First off, make sure you have a color theme, if you don't know what i mean it's pretty much choose a color palette, for me i tend to make better layouts when i choose my colors first, then my PSD later. But do whatever you please. Color themes are very important because you don't want your whole layout to be aqua blue. Make sure your colors aren't blinding, but not too dull. Perhaps, pink and gold/ornage, pink and blue, blue and purple, purple and pink, green and blue, there are so many choices. But try to refrain from odd things like chocolate and purple, unless you know you can pull it off. When working with your base, you don't want it to be empty, so use "vector brushes" things that take up lots of space pretty much. Even though you don't want it to be empty, you don't want too much going on with that layout. Once you get the hang of it, your bases will look great. I just suggjest that you try expirimenting. Ohh, and let's not forget the PSD! When you choose a PSD, make sure it doesn't over power the layout, meaning not too big, not too bright, and it doesn't stick out SO much that it completely ruins the layout. But instead it compliments the layout, and yes, size is important. Make sure it's not too big, but not too small. Don't forget to add effects on the PSD, it could also add very nicely, such as sharpening, or a glow. And lastly, the text and blog. I think the best way to find your inner blog is by expiriementing with EVERYTHING, you can use art shapes, and try different colors, and so many things. Just don't over do the tiny-ness or large-ness. I hope this tutorial helped spiff up those layouts. :) Written By Niniyum-o « Main List |
