Vintage Tint

This tutorial will give your images/icons a nice vintage effect. 01. First off, select a picture that you want to use. I'm using this one:

I will sharpen it for a vintage look. Sharpen it as much as you like, depending on your taste. I have this:

02. Create and new layer and put a gradient of a medium dark blue and a dark navy. Or you could use a solid blue. It should look like this:

03. Set the gradient on difference, and change the opacite from 19%-40% depending on your taste and the image.

And Ta-Da! here's my final product:
